Jeweler to The Stars Mouawad Kicks Off Cannes Film Festivel
Celebrity jeweler Mouawad hosted a star-studded party to honor the launch of the 55th Cannes Film Festival, opened by Woody Allen and his latest movie Hollywood Ending. More than 50 celebrities from the sports and entertainment worlds attended the party.
Mouawad, whose Bond Street salon is one of the busiest stop-off points for stars needing diamonds for their premieres and award ceremonies, was delighted to welcome international film and music stars like singing sensation Natalie Cole, who was resplendent in a $3.2 million heart-shaped diamond parure from the Mouawad Legacy Collection.
Not to be outdone was supermodel Heidi Klum, recently seen heating up runways in the most expensive bra in the world, made by Mouawad for Victoria's Secret. Style icon Heidi looks set to start another new trend. She turned heads at Cannes in a multi-hued fancy color diamond necklace worth a cool $8 million … that she unconventionally wore tangled up in her gorgeous hair. Accompanying Heidi’s unusual - and expensive! - hair accessory was a matching bracelet worth $2.4 million. Cool couple Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas were also seen in the vicinity, looking relaxed and enjoying the South of France sun, while Lady Victoria Hervey wowed the crowds in a $1.6 million Mouawad diamond and drop earring set. Meanwhile, London-based designer Scott Henshall, present for the festivities, is rumored to be designing the most luxurious cashmere sweater of all-time that features - wait for it - Mouawad diamond buttons.
Below are some of the many celebrities who turned up to soak up the fabulous Cannes festival atmosphere.
