| Mouawad Focusing on Wholesale in European Market Date: 3 December 2003 In the pursuit of establishing Mouawad as a world-renowned luxury jewellery brand in the United States and European markets, Pascal Mouawad, fourth generation member of the Mouawad family, has opted on growing the wholesale of its Mouawad Branded Collections in the UK. The forwarding strategy for 2004 will focus on opening a distribution network throughout the finest retail establishments in the UK and the rest of Europe, thus making the Mouawad signature collections accessible to a much wider market. As a result of this strategy , a wholesale office will be opened in London, and the retail operation on Bond Street will cease trading with effect from December 2003. "Creating signature collections with a wide appeal, selling at the finest retail stores is where we have gained the most traction and growing that channel has become my number one priority" says Pascal Mouawad, Director of Mouawad London. "Our goal is having our signature pieces available for sale in 100 doors in the USA and Europe by the end of 2004". The Mouawad wholesale strategy began in 2001 when Pascal Mouawad set up office in New York and began developing and evolving the Mouawad signature collections. Four distinguished collections and a line of fashionable luxury watches were created, all receiving tremendous, international success. Today Mouawad boasts a presence in over 60 doors across the USA and the number is rapidly growing. Headlining the signature collections is the brand new Heidi Klum collection, which is a creative, brand collaboration between Mouawad and international Supermodel, Heidi Klum. It is this landmark collaboration with Heidi Klum that signifies the strategic move to communicate with a much wider consumer audience. Mouawad will have a presence at this years Basel jewellery fair in April, where they will occupy booth A07, which is situated on the 2nd floor of Hall 4. |
