Heidi Klum Unveils her Fall 2007 Collection for Mouawad

A departure from the traditional clover motif marks Klum's salute to a more feminine and colorful collection

Date: 01 September 2007

When designing her Fall 2007 Collection for Mouawad, Heidi Klum set out to create a line that embodied the simple elegance of her clover motif, while playing with the elements of shape and color. As a variation from past designs, Klum moved away from the conventional, open clover that has typically defined her line, and chose a softer, more fashion forward silhouette for fall.

Klum focused this collection on incorporating color and variation into the design elements. The color trend is most prominent as it appears in the marriage of 18k yellow, white and rose gold together in a single piece. Contrasting against one another, the multi-colored clovers introduce a younger, playful element to the collection. This more relaxed style carried over into the shape design itself as Klum set out to broaden her classic silhouette with concave and convex borders and subtle engraving.

"I wanted to make a collection that was as diverse as a jewelry box," says Klum. "That way you have the freedom and diversity to layer the pieces-mixing size and color-or to wear them individually. I focused on designs that were more free and feminine than past collections to reflect both my personal style as well as the current fashion trends."

The collection ranges in price from approximately $800 - $40,000 and is available through Mouawad USA and select retailers worldwide.
